Appels à projets 2014 – allocations doctorales et post-doctorales
Dans le cadre de la subvention que lui accorde la Région Île-de-France, le DIM «Genre, Inégalités, Discriminations» lance le 2 décembre deux appels à candidatures pour l’attribution d’allocations doctorales et post-doctorales.
L’Institut Émilie du Châtelet (IEC) coordonne la sélection du pôle «Genre» et l’Alliance de Recherche sur les Discriminations (ARDIS) celle du pôle «Discriminations» du programme scientifique du DIM «Genre, Inégalités, Discriminations».
Ces allocations sont destinées à soutenir des recherches menées dans un établissement de recherche et d’enseignement supérieur de la Région Île-de-France:
– soit sur les femmes, le sexe ou le genre
– soit sur les discriminations
Elles concernent toutes les disciplines.
Les candidat-es indiqueront leur préférence pour l’un des deux thèmes.
– Allocations doctorales : elles prennent la forme d’un contrat à durée déterminée d’une période de 36 mois (pour les étudiant-es qui s’inscriront en 1ère année de thèse) et 24 mois (pour celles et ceux qui s’inscriront en 2e année). Le salaire mensuel net est de 1 400 € minimum.
– Allocations post-doctorales : elles prennent la forme d’un contrat à durée déterminée, d’une durée de 12 à 18 mois, pour un salaire mensuel net minimum de 2100 €.

Final Call for Abstracts – Responsible Development in a Polycentric World
As the year 2013 comes to an end, preparations for the 14th EADI General Conference in June 2014 are in full swing: more than 40 institutions will present Panels during the conference and 21 EADI Working Groups have published Calls for Papers. Just before everyone takes their well-deserved breaks, we would once again like to point out that the deadline for the submission of abstracts to the Calls for Papers will end on December 15th.
If you are researcher and your work is evolving around one of the many topics of the EADI Working Groups, we strongly encourage you to upload your abstract as soon as possible. For uploading your abstract, please follow these five easy steps:
- Write an abstract of approximately 500 words that represents your research.
- Check the Calls for Papers on www.gc2014.org and select a Working Group which suits your research topic best.
- Register at www.conftool.com/gc2014
- Choose the suitable EADI Working Groups for your topic.
- Upload your paper.All submissions will be reviewed and authors will be notified in early 2014 on whether their abstract has been accepted for the EADI General Conference.
Furthermore, the conference team is excited to announce that the registration for the conference will open in January 2014. The rules for participating in the “Call for papers” require, under penalty of exclusion, that the following documents be submitted:
- the Declaration of Responsibility (Attachment A) and the Registration Form (Attachment B) filled out and signed by each author (.DOC file format with digital signature, or .PDF or.JPG file format with scan of the original signature)
- an “Abstract” in the .DOC file format with a maximum of 1.000 characters – spaces included – in English, in the Required Format (Attachment C)
- a “Report” in .DOC file format maximum 20,000 characters – spaces included – with images, charts, tables and relative captions, in the Required Format (Attachment C)

Conférence de Wilfredo Lozano (6 déc, Paris)
Le sociologue dominicain Wildredo Lozano donnera une conférence ce vendredi 6 décembre de 10 à 12h dans l’amphithéâtre de l’IHEAL sur les questions migratoires en Amérique latine, et particulièrement dans la Caraïbe avec la question brûlante des migrants haïtiens en République Dominicaine, dans le cours « Acteurs et institutions » de ML Geoffray.
L’entrée est libre et ouverte à toutes les personnes intéressées.
Ci-dessous: une petite biographie du Wilfredo Lozano.
Wilfredo LOZANO est sociologue. Diplômé de l?Université Autonome de Santo Domingo (UASD), il est titulaire d?un doctorat du Colegio de México. Fondateur du Programme « République Dominicaine » de la Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO), il a été ensuite Secrétaire Général de cette importante Institution, au Costa Rica, de 1996 à 2004. Ses recherches portent principalement sur la sociologie du travail, la sociologie rurale, les migrations internationales et les processus de démocratisation. Parmi ses principaux ouvrages publiés on peut citer : « La Cuestión haitiana en Santo Domingo » (1993), « The United States and the Caribbean. Transforming Hegemony and Sovereignty » (avec Anthony Maingot 2005) et le plus récent « La Razón democrática. Cultura política, desarrollo y clientelismo en la democracia dominicana » (2013). Le Professeur Wilfredo Lozano est actuellement directeur du Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Sociales (CIES) de l?Universidad Iberoamericana à Santo Domingo.

L’Association panafricaine d’anthropologie (PAAA) est une organisation nationale et internationale créée en 1989 à Yaoundé au Cameroon, à l’intention des universitaires et praticiens de l’anthropologie. La vocation première de la PAAA porte sur l’anthropologie appliquée, d’où l’accent qu’elle met sur la distinction entre l’enseignement et la formation en anthropologie. Ses objectifs sont axés sur le renforcement des interactions entre enseignants et chercheurs dans les sous-disciplines de l’anthropologie. Elle travaille également à la promotion de la recherche dans les disciplines connexes, ainsi qu’à la stimulation et la coordination de la recherche régionale et interdisciplinaire.

The Department of Anthropology and Sociology at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London invites applications for a permanent lectureship tenable from September 2014. Preference will be given to a candidate with expertise in the anthropology of the Near and Middle East/Southwest Asia and/or West Asia. The successful candidate would be expected to teach ethnography-based courses on cultures and societies of these regions and on Islam, to contribute to the development of postgraduate programmes in their area of expertise, to teach and develop other courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to assume normal administrative tasks including PhD supervision.
