Journée d’étude/ Seminar: “Oral and Public Histories in the Middle East and Southern Africa” (27-29 mai, Wits) Matthieu Rey, chercheur au CNRS, directeur des études contemporaines à l’IFPO (Institut français du Proche-Orient) et anciennement affecté à l’IFAS-Recherche (2018-2021), organisera une journée d’étude et d’ateliers autour du thème « Oral and Public Histories in the Middle East and Southern Africa », en partenariat avec l’IFAS-Recherche et le Wits History Workshop. You can find the programme below:  Wits Art Museum: TENX10 Exhibition (until July)  © Wits Art Museum Ne manquez pas l’exposition actuelle du Wits Art Museum (WAM) intitulée « TENX10 ». À l’occasion du centenaire de l’université de Wits et du dixième anniversaire du WAM, TENX10 présente des œuvres d’art produites par une centaine de femmes et d’artistes issus de la diversité des genres. Présentant des pièces datant des années 1920 aux années 2020, réalisées avec des matériaux divers, notamment des perles et des textiles, les projets collectifs et individuels exposés sont un hommage à la diversité du patrimoine et de l’histoire de l’art de l’Afrique du Sud. For Wits University’s centenary and for WAM’s tenth birthday, TENX10 showcases artworks produced by a hundred women and gender diverse artists. With pieces ranging from the 1920s to the 2020s, made with diverse materials including beads and textiles, the collective and individual projects exhibited are a tribute to the diversity of South Africa’s heritage and art history. Chantiers de fouilles dans le Limpopo/ Excavation sites in Limpopo (last March) Aurore Val (Université de Tübigen) et Guillaume Porraz (CNRS) ont dirigé deux chantiers de fouilles dans le Limpopo : Heuningneskrans et Bushman Rock Shelter. Nous leur avons rendu visite sur place le mois dernier.
