2nd Issue May 2025 Editorial While we’re busy with our 50 anniversary final jubilee conference in Bonn, we are happy to share the call for panels for our upcoming general conference in Antwerp! From our blog we can recommend two new articles: one exploring the cuts in development aid from a post-development perspective, and the other exploring the dangers of artificial intelligence for development. Our working group on citizenship and civil society in development is being revamped, and we are pleased to welcome a new member to the EADI family. EADI/IOB 2026: Call for Panels Out!We are excited to announce that the call for panels for our upcoming general conference at the Institute of Development Policy (IOB), University of Antwerp, Belgium, is out! The general conferences are our flagship events and THE place to be for the Development Studies community! With the title « Shaping Sustainable Futures: Global Challenges, (G)local Solutions? », the conference delves into the dynamics of sustainability, in all its dimensions, in the face of pressing global challenges. It reflects the profound dilemma faced by societies and communities worldwide in addressing issues at varying levels – from those demanding global collaboration to those necessitating local, context-specific action.
