Today we’re excited to share the call for abstracts for our general conference at IOB in Antwerp next year with 67 panels to choose from! On our blog, we’ve added another text from our « Share your Decolonising Story » project, and a response to a previous post, both discussing the future of development policy in the Trump era. We invite you to a virtual roundtable on 28 November and have specific focus on climate change today.EADI/IOB 2026: Call for Abstracts Out!Our upcoming flagship conference delves into the dynamics of sustainability, in all its dimensions, in the face of pressing global challenges. The title itself reflects the profound dilemma faced by societies and communities worldwide in addressing issues at varying levels – from those demanding global collaboration to those necessitating local, context-specific action. To submit an abstract, you can choose from 44 Seed and 23 HarvestPanels. Submission deadline is 21 December. Read more

The Gradual Change of Multilateralism and Development CooperationWe’re thrilled to see that our blog is stimulating informed debate on the fate of global development after Trump:  Lars Engberg-Pedersen responds to a recent blog post by Stephan Klingebiel and Andy Sumner and writes: « Overall, I am not convinced that the current situation should be necessarily depicted as a downward spiral for international cooperation. It is significantly challenged, no doubt about that, but it is important to look for opportunities as much as setbacks. » Read more
