REMINDERS ABOUT CALLS FOR ENTRIES AND NEWS LA FABRIQUE DU CINEMA 

Filmmakers are reminded to submit their project proposal by 29 November 2021 

The La Fabrique du Cinema program has been developed in close association with the Festival de Cannes and the Marché du Film, and only accepts 100 international call for projects each year.

Ten projects in development (1st or 2nd feature film) are selected and invited to Cannes. The aim is to create concrete opportunities for these projects by providing access to different activities and personalized support through one-to-one and group meetings with key players in the film industry.

 MOBILE FILM FESTIVAL – SOUTH AFRICAN MOVIE IN OFFICIAL SELECTION

50 films from 34 countries have been selected and make up the official selection! 

All films are available on the Mobile Film Festival’s social networks Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram and are subtitled in French, English and Spanish.
 
We are particularly proud to have a South African film in the official selection. Directed by Lara Charlene Taylor, the film is a playful stop frame animation showing the basics of composting.

The awards ceremony of the festival on the occasion of World Climate Day will take place on 08 December 2021

THE WRITERS CAMPUS 

The Writers Campus launches its fifth call for applications!

This immersive week-long workshop will gather 20 upcoming writers who have had at least one professional experience on a broadcast TV/digital series, short or feature film broadcast.

From 18-21 March 2022, the participants will have the opportunity to take part in workshops and masterclasses at the Creative Bazaar, in the presence of experienced professionals who will serve and support them as mentors in the development of their projects.

As part of the Series Mania Forum on 22-24 March 2022, the will be able to pitch their projects in front of international industry professionals.

DEENTAL SERIES WORKSHOP – CALL FOR PROJECTS 

The DEENTAL Series Workshop for writers and producers from African, Caribbean and Pacific countries is back for a second edition. 
 
The DEENTAL Series Workshop is a professional workshop for writers and producers from African, Caribbean and Pacific countries launched jointly by the Series Mania and Fespaco festivals and the DEENTAL-ACP program, implemented by the CNC with the financial collaboration of the European Union and the support of the ACP (African, Caribbean and Pacific) States organization.
  
This year again, 4 projects carried by duos composed of a writer and a producer will be selected to take part in an intensive workshop week in Lille, from 18 to 24 March 2022, in parallel with the Series Mania international festival.

AFRICA GAMES WEEK

Get your ticket for the largest gathering of African game developers, exporters and leaders in the world.

Africa Games Week aims to connect African Game Developers, Content Creator & Digital Artists with Publishers, Brands, Thought Leaders, Industry Experts and opportunities across the globe.

NOVEMBRE NUMERIQUE ANIMATION JAM

Sixty animators responded to the call for applications for the 2021 Animation Jam.

On 19-21 November, participating animators were challenged to team up and create their original 2D animated work within 48 hours. This year’s theme was « Once Upon a Time ».

Through the guidance and expertise of American animator, story artist, and director, Travis J Blaise as well as Head of International Development at Gobelins, l’école de l’image (France), the creatives produced impeccable short films shared their skills and knowledge to come up with amazing storylines, visual animation and impeccable sound effects!
