KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
Sandrine Gaudin was appointed Vice-Governor Financial Strategy of the CEB in July 2022. Her five-year mandate started on 1 August 2022.
Before joining the CEB, she was Secretary General for European Affairs and Advisor for Europe to the French Prime Minister (2017-2022).
Sandrine Gaudin began her career at the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then joined the Ministry of Economy and Finance in 2000. From 2014 to 2017, she was Head of the Bilateral Affairs and Business Internationalisation Department at the Directorate General of the Treasury, then she served as Head of the Regional Economic Department at the French Embassy in London. She was also Head of the European Coordination and Strategy Office for two years and representative for France to the Board of Directors of the European Investment Bank and the Administrative Council of the CEB.
Previously, Sandrine Gaudin served as Head of the Trade Policy Sector of the General Secretariat for European Affairs (2006-2008), Deputy Financial Counsellor at the Permanent Representation of France to the EU in Brussels (2004-2006), Deputy Head of the European Affairs Office at the Directorate General of the Treasury (2002-2004) and then Deputy Head of the Mergers and State Aid Office, in charge of community affairs at the General Directorate for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (2000-2002).
Sandrine Gaudin is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale d’Administration, specialised in international and European law and international relations.

Jérôme Saddier is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Crédit Coopératif group since January 2021.
Graduated in political science and international relations, he has held several management positions in the mutualist movement and the social and solidarity economy for some fifteen years, as well as in local, national and international public institutions.
He is a member of the Supervisory Board of Groupe BPCE since May 2024 and, since January 2023, Chairman of coop.fr
From January 2014 to March 2018, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Mutuelle Nationale Territoriale, the leading mutual insurance company for French local government employees and the sixth largest mutual insurance company in France. At the same time, he served as Director of Strategy and Public Affairs for the new mutualist group VYV, of which he was one of the architects.
Between 2012 and 2014, he was Special Advisor and Chief of Staff to Benoît Hamon, Minister Delegate for the Social and Solidarity Economy and Consumer Affairs, playing an active role in the drafting of the law on the SSE.
From September 2016 to September 2025, he chaired AVISE, an engineering and services agency for the development of the SSE; he is also a director of CIRIEC-France.
From January 2019 to June 2024, he chaired ESS France, the national organisation representing SSE stakeholders.
Previously, he held management positions at Mutualité Fonction Publique and Mutuelle des Etudiants, after serving as a diplomat with the United Nations social organisations, advisor to two ministers between 2000 and 2002 (Elisabeth Guigou and Alain Richard).
Marc Picard, General Manager, Caisse d’économie solidaire Desjardins (Canada) As General Manager of the Caisse d’économie solidaire Desjardins, Marc Picard heads Quebec’s leading financial institution specialized in social economy. With a business volume of nearly $4 billion and assets of $2 billion, the Caisse solidaire acts as a financial rallying point between social movements, collective enterprises and committed citizens who share the goal of building a fairer and more sustainable society. Marc Picard plays a participative role alongside more than 100 unionized employees. The Caisse d’économie solidaire has over 21,000 members, including 4,000 cooperatives, NPOs and unions from across Quebec. Marc Picard is moreover the President of CIRIEC-Canada.

Violaine Pierre, is General Delegate of Operation Milliard, a movement that mobilises to raise funds for Just Transition organisations. She co-founded two impact enterprises: Visit.org (USA, 160 employees) and BelleVie (England, home care sector, 120 employees), and was the France Tech representative in New York, after a period at the World Bank in Senegal. She has a Master’s degree in Economics from Sciences Po Paris, in partnership with the Ecole Polytechnique and ENSAE. They will take the floor at session « Partnering in social economy financing to scale up » on Tuesday 28 October at 13.30.
