Through the lens of public development banks and a concern for public pathways to financing global green and just transitions, Prof. Marois will reflect on Finance for Development summit negociated document and its potential to catalyze new public-public collaborations between public development banks and with public services. ![]() Author of Public Banks: Decarbonisation, Definancialisation, and Democratisation (Cambridge University Press, 2021) — awarded the 2023 Joan Robinson Prize — he explores pro-public financial alternatives to support green and just transitions. Thomas collaborates with organizations such as UNCTAD, the Public Banking Institute, and Public Bank New York & San Francisco, and serves on the Council of Europe Development Bank’s Social Cohesion Award Jury.
